Dr.C K Prahalad Indian Management GURU

C.K. is a well-known management guru from India and settled in Michigan, USA. He is currently in third position in management gurus through out the world. His latest book dealt about the poorest of the poor. He uses to advocate his point to the big corporate company about the strategy called Bottom of the pyramid (BOP). We are all so for heard about BPO (Business process outsourcing) only. This new concept emerging very recently from market giants. Nearly around 5 billion poor people are living in this world. This is the very big market space. The big companies not only look the top of the pyramid but also they account the bottom of the pyramid. He had done a Phd from the corporate strategy of the multinational companies.
Dr.C.K.Prahalad’s The fortune at the bottom of the pyramid book voted number one management book from the world forums. The book has been praised by many business and political leaders, including Bill Gates, who said that, “Drawing on a wealth of case studies, The Fortune At The Bottom Of The Pyramid [is a] compelling new book [that] offers an intriguing blueprint for how to fight poverty with profitability." Madeleine Albright, former U.S. Secretary of State, said that “The Bottom of the Pyramid belongs at the top of the reading list for business people, academics, and experts pursuing the elusive goal of sustainable growth in the developing world."
His major idea is that the poverty can be solved by the big corporate profitably. More over he says that the poor has more than $14 trillion dollars of purchasing power.
The major incorrect assumption of ours is that the poor don’t have money to purchase anything. This is absolutely untrue.

Veena O Veena

Veena is India’s national musical instrument. This is considered as queen of Indian instruments, which is played by the goddess saraswathi known as god for knowledge or learning in Hindu mythologies.
There are two types of veenas. One is called as Ottu veena and other is called as Eganda veena. The previous veena is made of two or three pieces of wood but the later is made up of single piece of wood. So, the quality of the tune coming out of it is very pure and the quality of the tone is perfect.
The types of veena with other classification are Mahanataka veena, Saraswati veena, Rudra veena, Vichitra veena etc. the sarasawthi veena is considered as queen veena. Veena has three parts namely resonator, neck or stem and head. The head normally resembles dragon or peacock head. Saraswathi veena is prepared from the jack wood as single piece. The other veena’s some time uses teak wood.
The veena is played by the sitting posture .The main body of the instrument rest on the ground and partially on the left thigh.

The trivia of transporter.
Frank drives an Audi A8L W12 (W12 referring to the engine).
The wristwatch that Frank is wearing is an Italian made watch (Swiss movement) named "Panerai" and is a "Luminor-Daylight" model.

Only Nokia mobile phones are seen. Among them, the phone used by Frank in the car is the 8910 model, which was discontinued at least a couple of years before the release of the film. The 8910 cannot be used in the United States because it only works on 900 and 1800 GSM bands. There are only two GSM bands in the US, 850 and 1900. The other phone (when Frank opens the glove box to reveal 2-3 more 8910's) is a Nokia 6620.

Sparrow in the city

The little known birds name is sparrow. When, I was a young one during my stay at far away village called thirunelveli, I saw umpteen number of bird. But once I came to the chennai city, it is absolutely rare sight at the roads and houses. I though that cities are not meant for animals and birds. These tiny birds are the indicators of the noise pollution and environmental degradation. The days will come one fine morning; we can show all the animals to our grant children’s only on picture.
Another bird is called Vultures. This is belonging to the eagle and other high-flyer groups. These birds will eat only the dead animals. Now, this population also came meager. The reason attribute was that the domestic animals were given lot of medicines and injections to avoid the diseases. The medical components create kidney problems to the Vultures once they had the dead animal.
If we keep walking away from the nature, one day we have walk alone in the vast Universe other than with the shadow of the own.

Hotel Chettinadu Chicken and the Government of India’s knee jerk action

We all went to hotel Chettinadu to celebrate the get together party along with our wife. Remember this is the season of Bird Flu (Avian Influenza, H5N1) virus. The waiter came with menu card and waiting to take order. We all know that this hotel is famous for chicken items. After the glance, I become somewhat fuzzy in ordering my dishes. But, my educated friends all started ordering with soups and starters with the letter stars with”C”, I mean all together chicken clear soup and chicken soup and country chicken soup like that. I am the one total confusion. Because that day only, I read a article from WHO website about the Bird Flu(H5N1). On that time a theme flashes in my head. The dialogue from the movie Matrix reloaded” IGNORANCE IS BLISS”. How much true is this sentence?.
This is my own inner voice. We Indians planned very well and prepared a strategic report for the prevention of the disease. The same SARS and Bird flu came in to HongKong and China able to prevent the same flu but not by Indians. Chinese started doing the vaccination programme from the year 2005 itself. We Indians also did same thing but the whole thing came halt in the planning itself. We are failed to create a watchdog committee in each state as well as each district.
Finally, I asked “ SENDICOLLI- this is the recent Tamil movie” one plate. Waiter gave a hasty look and said that they stopped the item just after the arrival of the movie. He replied with the same wit. Then, I again asked for “ Airai meen Kulampu- this is a kind of small fish”. The waiter did not understand and said to me that they stopped making “ I LOVE YOU KULAMPU” from Feb 14th, due to the political parties protest. I thought that he is telling joke. I just laughed for the sake of his timing. But in real, I got bit angry. Finally, I decided to go with Tsunami, I mean FISH BRIYANI for the safer side. All my friends were enjoying the birds in different name. I am the one finished with fish and fish only. The “matrix reloaded” again reloaded on me” MANY TIMES IGNORANCE IS BLISS”. After a day Government of India announced that taking chicken is safe in southern hot area of tamilnadu. Because the virus cannot survive in the hot climate. Who knows only the H5N1 virus only knows.

March 8-International women’s day

This year is milestone for the women empowerment. This charter was started in the year 1995 at Beijing under the UN. After a decade the condition of the women were improved a lot. The over all Scenario was improved from the bedrock level to standing position. Now, the only way is for take off to the sky high. The empowerment of women in the areas like education, work and demanding equality, awareness was increased among the educated young females in a considerable percentage.
Female education is the one and only option to eradicate the poverty from the society. The HIV/AIDS affected generations are only the young female population.
We as an individual rededicate in to the healthy mission for the up lift of our sisters. If you are not interested in this programme, who will show concern on them. The right question is, if not You than Who?
