ARE YOU FALLING LIKE MOTH IN CANDLE?
CATCH THEM AT YOUNG !!!
This is the slogan for our Indian software companies. In the global scenario India is considered as software giant. Yes because of the young ignited minds who are all working for the company day and night? The recruiters come to the college in the name of campus interview and catching them in the end of the third year or 6th semester. The student has to go still two more semesters. The companies started giving trainings in the evening hours. So, what is really going in the students mind is that I got a good job, why I should toil my head again with the subjects. I am not the kind of person opposing the recruitment drive in the colleges. I am only requesting and advocating them to come at the end of the 8th semester. That is what going on the campus of all MBA institutes.
At this tender age they are not given variety of carrier paths none other than the software industry. Just because that they got placement in their third year end it self, they started neglecting the academics. I think that is the one of the reason for the lower enrollment in the Master’s in engineering and Ph.d in engineering discipline.
India and its companies need umpteen numbers of researchers in the engineering field. The USA universities are doing the job very nicely. Research can only bring the new and suitable technology for Indian companies.
My sincere appeal to the parents and the fellow students is that never ever settle with your UG qualification alone. It will push you one day down when the competitor come with masters degree with the same level of work experience.
The young and bright should place their leg in all the fields’ including the politics. That was neglected long back by the younger generation. Now the scene has changed a lot. You can see lot of young educators with very high academic qualifications.
Think over it before the company catches you!!!!
